Invisalign is a popular alternative to traditional braces to help you straighten your teeth and give you that beautiful smile you’ve always wanted. Developed by Align Technology, Invisalign consists of clear treatment trays that gently (and discreetly) move your teeth over time. It’s a highly effective orthodontic treatment for mild to moderate crowding and spacing issues. The retainers are worn for 22 hours per day, allowing plenty of time to eat and clean your teeth.
Dental implants are a great long term solution for people who have lost one or more of your natural teeth. The implants are made of a strong and durable material that integrates with your jawbone. This allows the implant to function like a natural tooth and withstand the forces of chewing. A crown or bridge is attached to the implant to create a natural-looking tooth replacement. While dental implants are more costly initially than other dental treatments, they are a long-term solution that can last for many years – enhancing your smile and oral health along with protecting bone health.
Wisdom teeth are permanent molars that usually erupt in the late teens or early 20s. Unfortunately, they are often impacted and don’t have the room to grow properly. Most people choose to undergo wisdom teeth removal to protect their dental health. Without extraction, impacted wisdom teeth can lead to a number of long term problems, including pain, infection, gum disease, damage to nearby teeth and even cysts in the worst case scenario. They are also prone to decay, which can further spread to other healthy teeth. Our dentists provide comfortable, expert care for wisdom teeth, using local anesthetic or conscious sedation if needed. The surgery takes about 30 minutes to an hour. Our dentists can perform a thorough exam to help determine if wisdom teeth removal is the right choice for you.
Dental crowns are tooth-shaped caps that are placed over a damaged tooth to protect it and restore its function. Made to match the color of your teeth, dental crowns are often completely unnoticable.. They are made of ultra-strong, tooth-like materials that can withstand biting and chewing forces. This makes them a good option for teeth that have been weakened by decay, a large filling, or a root canal, restoring the function of a damaged tooth. Consult with one of our experienced dentists to decide if a dental crown is the best choice for you.
Root canal treatment is a common dental procedure designed to save your natural tooth when it has been damaged by decay or infection. With root canal treatment, your dentist can remove the pulp of the tooth, which is composed of nerves and blood vessels, using local anesthesia. This helps to relieve any pain associated with the damaged tooth. Root canal treatment is often needed when a tooth decay has reached the root of the tooth, allowing bacteria to enter and cause an infection. Your dentist will use special tools to remove the infected material from the pulp chamber of your tooth, disinfecting it and sealing it to keep out any further bacteria. The process is completed with a strong filling or crown to protect the tooth and restore its function.
Dental bridges are another option to replace missing natural teeth, maintaining the natural look, feel and functionality of your natural tooth. By filling in the gap left by a missing tooth, they help preserve the spacing and health of all your teeth. They can be attached to a dental implant or to a natural tooth, depending on what your dentist recommends. A conventional bridge is attached to the natural teeth on either side of the gap. Implant-supported bridges are attached to dental implants, either on one or both sides of the bridge. The recovery time for dental bridges is typically short with mild discomfort that is easily managed with over-the-counter pain medication.
Teeth whitening is a great way to achieve a brighter and healthier looking smile. It helps remove stains from coffee, red wine, or other discoloring food and drinks. The results are usually a dramatic improvement in the brightness of your teeth, leaving you with an even brighter smile that can boost your confidence! Professional teeth whitening is much more effective than common at-home treatments like whitening strips, whitening toothpastes, and other over-the-counter whitening agents. Professional teeth whitening is done in a dental office and utilizes stronger bleaching agents, providing better results in a shorter amount of time. So if you’re looking for a brighter, healthier smile, then professional teeth whitening could be the perfect solution for you!
Veneers provide many benefits for individuals looking to improve their smile. Not only are they designed to fit over your natural teeth and blend in seamlessly, but they are also able to protect and strengthen tooth enamel that has been compromised. Dental Veneers can help reduce the appearance of chips, cracks, gaps, and discoloration. In some cases, veneers can even make teeth look longer or wider for a more symmetrical smile. On top of that, veneers are also long-lasting and stain resistant. With proper care, they can last for many years. One of our experienced dentists can evaluate your case and determine if veneers are a viable option for improving your smile.
